Job Overview:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets as well as managing maintenance budget and resources. In addition, this position is responsible for managing multiple shifts of maintenance technicians. This person works with their team to improve uptime and reduce the mean time to repair equipment by optimizing the spare parts management and a well-planned preventive maintenance schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

Performs maintenance management by supervising maintenance and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.

Drives the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, not reactive.

Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximizing planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime.

Managing, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for production lines in a GMP manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than budget.

Optimize equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Establish and track maintenance metrics to monitor performance of technicians and associated work (mean-time to failure, mean-time to repair, PM completion, Work Order Completion Ratio, etc)

Develop and maintain catalogue of standardized setup sheets for all changeovers

Input and hold responsibility for maintenance budgets ensuring budgets are met and reviewed.

Manage, coach, and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers results, added value, and continuous improvements.

Participate in designing and developing future production capacities by attending design meetings, updating maintenance operating procedures, and schedules to incorporate the changes.

Manage parts cage and associated inventory and personnel. Develop strategy for right-sizing the parts inventory by reducing unnecessary parts and maintaining proper MOH for critical parts.

Develop maintenance strategy to utilize Production Maintenance Technicians across other areas of the Operation, including Pre-Weigh and Compounding to improve reliability of those area's equipment.

Experience:

5 10 Supervisory or higher maintenance experience, preferable in industrial maintenance

Engineering Degree Preferred

Experience in the beauty/and or food industry

Skills/Qualifications:

Mechanical and Electrical skills.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Working knowledge of Parts inventory management.

Excellent documentation skills.

Possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.

A full complement of business computer literacy skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, database software etc.) is preferred.

Perform independent work related to projects and/or routine activities.

Meet deadlines and work under pressure with limited supervision.

Works well in a team environment.

Foster and support high involvement in the work team to get results.

High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Must be able to perform risk assessments in a timely manner and act accordingly.

Should be familiar with cGMP and safe work practices.

Blend knowledge and analysis with logic, active listening, and a continuing interest in simplification.

Continuously seek opportunities for improvement.

Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred
