About the Role:
The Accounting Clerk for our construction-related projects will be responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with various financial reports. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field or similar experience
Corporate finance and construction/specialty trade industries accounting experience
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, Concur expense reporting, and other relevant financial software. Experience with Procore is preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of job costing, cost allocation, and accounting for specialty trades.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to present clear and actionable recommendations.
Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
A proactive mindset with the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Confidence, initiative, and self-sufficiency.
Responsibilities:
Accurate data entry and transaction processing into accounting software and ledgers
Process, Collect, Sort invoices, bills, expense reports, and receipts
Maintain and file accurate financial records
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts with the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Handle routine correspondence
Verify accuracy of information on accounting forms and identify errors, making necessary corrections
