Overview:
TalentBridge is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-backed process enhancements in a fast-paced, heavy manufacturing environment. This role will focus on eliminating production inefficiencies and championing initiatives that reduce waste, improve yield, and increase uptime. This position demands a technical problem-solver with hands-on experience in production settings and a passion for leading from the floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead data-driven initiatives to identify and eliminate major production losses, including molding line downtime and furnace inefficiencies.
Take full ownership of Continuous Improvement projects-scoping, executing, and sustaining results.
Build and implement structured CI tools such as GEMBA walks, 5S, poke-yoke, and standard work processes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure alignment and effective execution.
Establish and maintain systems to monitor CI metrics, including ROI tracking and KPI dashboards.
Conduct root cause analysis and spearhead initiatives focused on scrap reduction, yield improvement, and operational efficiency.
Standardize documentation and reporting practices for all CI activities to embed sustainable improvements into daily operations.
Serve as a hands-on leader and subject matter expert-actively present on the floor and closely aligned with frontline teams. Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering role, ideally in a heavy industrial environment.
Demonstrated success leading impactful CI projects from concept through implementation with measurable results.
Proficiency in root cause analysis, process mapping, and data interpretation for operational decision-making.
Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured CI methodologies (Green Belt preferred, not required).
Comfortable working in a hot, loud, and physically demanding environment.
Strong self-starter with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and build CI systems from the ground up.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead across functions.
