We are partnering with a growing company in the Edina area seeking an Interim Controller to support financial operations during a critical period of transition. This individual will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and cash flow oversight, while collaborating closely with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in budgeting and forecasting, deep ERP system experience (SAP or similar), and working knowledge of Power BI for reporting and data analysis. This is a high-impact role where accuracy, insight, and flexibility are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, working with leadership to guide financial planning
Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness for internal and external use
Monitor cash flow, manage debt compliance, and support the development of financing strategies
Review semi-annual financials, provide feedback to preparers, and ensure deliverables are stakeholder-ready
Support audit preparation and coordination, including documentation and internal controls
Utilize ERP systems (SAP or similar) and Power BI to create accurate, timely reporting packages
Provide cross-functional support to Finance, Operations, and Executive teams as needed
Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
Power BI or similar reporting tool experience preferred
CPA or MBA a plus but not required
Strong attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
