We are looking for a Full-Time, Entry Level Marine Mechanic to help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the Shop Foreman in ensuring the success of the Marina at our Sebago property.

Job Summary:

Marine Mechanics will report to the Shop Foreman and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department. In this position, you will be part of a team that specializes in the maintenance, repair, and detailing of most makes and models of boats. As an Entry Level Marine Mechanic for our company, you gain a vast amount of knowledge and skills by working with some very talented, seasoned Marine Mechanics. This is the perfect job to become a certified Marine Mechanic.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Water pump installations, rebuilds and repairs.

Tune-ups.· Oil changes.

Drive lubes.

Belt installations.

Starter repairs.

Electrical diagnostics.

Maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.

Attend training and getting certifications with Mercury, Volvo, Mastercraft and Yamaha. (Paid for by Goodhue.)·

Other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:·

Practical experience with tools and equipment used in auto or marine maintenance.

Ability to read and understand technical manuals.

Astute attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team environment.

Eager to engage in a growing, fast paced, and industry-leading company.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to ascend and descend a ladder.

Ability to work in confined spaces.

Ability to lift 70 pounds.

Education:·

1 year experience in repair or service facility or participation and completion of a high school/vocational auto shop program, required.

Minimum of High School degree or equivalent

Driver's License, required.

Boater's License, preferred.

Salary:

$19 - $23 per hour, based on experience.
