Salary:$75,000–$95,000 + Annual Bonus & Strong Benefits

Schedule:Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)

Our client, a well-established commercial general contractor in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking aProject Engineerwith 2–4 years of experience in the construction industry. About the Role:

As a Project Engineer, you'll support multiple aspects of project execution, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and clients to ensure jobs run smoothly—from preconstruction through closeout. This role offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of commercial projects and sets a clear path toward Project Manager-level responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination

Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain timelines and budgets

Manage and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation

Support jobsite progress tracking and field coordination

Help ensure quality control and safety compliance on assigned projects

Participate in client meetings and help build long-term relationships

What We're Looking For:

2–4 years of experience in commercial construction

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong organizational and communication skills

Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc.)

A self-starter with a desire to grow into a Project Manager role
