The Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering is a senior technical leader responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and execution for cloud and hosting platform engineering initiatives. This role drives the design, implementation, and optimization of our hosting platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals. You will collaborate across business and technology functions to deliver innovative, high-impact hosting solutions that support enterprise objectives.

Work you'll do:

Develop and communicate the vision and roadmap for cloud engineering and platform capabilities

Oversee the architecture, design, and delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platform solutions

Drive adoption of modern cloud technologies, DevOps practices, automation and platform engineering mindset

Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance standards

Collaborate with product, security, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions

Monitor and optimize the performance, health, observability, and cost management of cloud platforms

Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within engineering teams

You will be part of the Deloitte Cloud Services leadership team within Deloitte Technology, responsible for delivering enterprise platforms and solutions that enable business transformation. The team partners closely with technology, security, and business stakeholders to architect, implement, and optimize hosting environments that support Deloitte's strategic objectives. Qualifications

Required:

10+ years of experience within IT with a proficiency for architecting and delivering enterprise-level cloud solutions on Azure, AWS, and/or GCP

5+ years in platform engineering, API development, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and DevOps

2+ years of people management experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience

Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do

Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

Advanced degree in a relevant field of information technology or similar

Relevant public cloud certifications in at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Experience working in an agile software development environment with product management experience

Experience working with IT compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)

Experience leading large-scale cloud transformation initiatives and working with both internal and external technology partners

Familiar with backend API design and development process (e.g. OpenAPI Spec, Swagger, C# .NET, Python).

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and certifications.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000 to $241,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
