CNC Machinist

An established high-tech machine shop is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support precision part production. This role involves setting up and operating multi-axis CNC equipment (primarily HAAS), optimizing processes for quality, safety, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of interpreting complex drawings, and experienced in tight-tolerance machining using various inspection tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines

Program and optimize CNC operations using CAD/CAM (SolidWorks preferred)

Read and interpret technical drawings and job travelers

Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools

Maintain accurate production records and support process improvements

Train others on safe and efficient machine operation

Requirements:

Proficient in CNC programming and machining

Experience using CAD software and Microsoft Office

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in a standing, fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and precision

Familiarity with 5S and preventive maintenance practices
