Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This Contract-to-permanent position involves overseeing various aspects of accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including balance sheet accounts, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Perform bank reconciliations on a monthly basis, verifying deposits and addressing discrepancies with banking institutions.
• Oversee accounts receivable collections, including reconciling customer accounts and managing outstanding balances.
• Review and process accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding and timely payments.
• Support the month-end close process by reconciling accounts and finalizing financial statements.
• Assist external auditors by providing necessary account documentation and information for annual audits.
• Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline accounting processes.
• Ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in all financial activities.
• Handle additional accounting-related duties as assigned by management.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 4-6 years of experience in accounting with a focus on precision and accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with month-end close processes and account reconciliations.
