We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This is a Contract position ideal for someone with a strong background in procurement, vendor coordination, and accounting processes. The role requires expertise in managing purchase orders, ensuring accurate matches, and working effectively within an ERP system.
Responsibilities:
• Manage purchase order creation, tracking, and matching to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with vendors to maintain strong relationships and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Utilize accounting software systems to support procurement and financial processes.
• Monitor budget utilization and purchasing activities to align with organizational goals.
• Oversee accounts payable functions related to procurement transactions.
• Apply ERP solutions to streamline purchasing and accounting procedures.
• Conduct regular reviews of buying processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide timely reports and documentation for procurement operations.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient supply chain management.• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or related roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and budget management processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and improve buying and procurement workflows.
• Familiarity with vendor management and supply chain coordination.
• Advanced skills in Excel and other data management tools.
• Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
