Position Summary

The Senior Network Engineer role is responsible to provide oversight and participate in the architecture, design, engineering, testing and implementation phases of multiple IT projects to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and available information assets and systems. The role is recognized as the subject matter expert in multiple network domains and platforms and provides Infrastructure consultation on both IT and Business projects across the organization.

Position Description

Advanced Responsibilities

Leads the design and implementation of complex network solutions to meet business requirements

Develops and enforces network policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the network

Provides mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers and analysts

Oversee the integration of new technologies and solutions into the existing network infrastructure

Manages large-scale network projects, including planning, execution and delivery

Conducts advanced network performance analysis and optimization

Collaborate with Cross-functional teams to develop and implement network strategies

Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Develops and maintains disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure

Evaluates and recommends new networking technologies and solutions.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field

6 years of experience or more as a Network Engineer

In lieu of a degree, ten years of IT related experience in roles of increasing network responsibilities.

Functional or educational knowledge of network systems design and implementation from configuration to network administration

Proven track record of leading complex network projects

Experience troubleshooting network system issues and exposure to balancing network capacity through bandwidth and network analysis

Understanding of technical infrastructure to include system management, monitoring, and operations

One of the following Advanced Cisco Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, CCAR, or CCDA

Experience in Multicast routing

Experience with SD-WAN solutions

Experience working with AZURE AWS cloud networking

Experience with Cisco ISE

Hands on experience with WAN, LAN, Dual Stack IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, EVPN, telecommunications and circuits

Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls

Experience with IP telephony

Experience with Cisco Nexus devices

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to lift, carry, and position up to 40 pounds

Possession of a valid state issued driver’s license and able to commute between job sites

Desirable Requirements

Experience working with automation tools, such as Ansible, Python scripting
