Application Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Application Analyst to join our team in New York, New York, supporting critical banking applications and projects. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing application functionality, ensuring seamless delivery across multiple project phases. Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise in managing the software development lifecycle, including architectural design, security reviews, and infrastructure requirements.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to build technical specifications based on business requirements and oversee systems integration testing.

• Support financial forecasting activities, including variance analysis and fund transfers via delivery hub change requests.

• Create, publish, and update detailed project plans, ensuring timely communication of project statuses to relevant stakeholders.

• Coordinate the preparation and review of essential documentation, including CapEx and OpEx forms, vendor checklists, and contract forms.

• Facilitate approvals and reviews with business sponsors, finance teams, and procurement forums to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

• Initiate and manage Waterfall Gate reviews, preparing required artifacts and obtaining necessary sign-offs from sponsors and other domains.

• Lead change management efforts for deployment activities, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.

• Provide post-production technical support to maintain application stability and resolve emerging issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support or related roles within the banking industry.

• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.

• Proficiency in managing forecasting activities and financial processes, including OpEx and CapEx documentation.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring timely updates and communication.

• Experience with change management processes and deployment activities.

• Familiarity with application security remediation and infrastructure requirements.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
