Job Description
Client is seeking a highly experienced EnterpriseArchitect with a strong background in Data Architecture and Governance.
In this role, you will lead the development of ourenterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatoryrequirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design andimplement robust data solutions, establish governance frameworks, and drive theadoption of best practices for managing data as a strategic enterprise asset.
Key Focus Areas and Responsibilities:
Enterprise Data Strategy:
Develop and maintain the long-term enterprise Data Architecture strategy,ensuring alignment with business objectives and evolving technology standards.
Collaborate with executive leadership to incorporate data-driven insights intobroader organizational strategies.
Data Architecture & Modeling
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models that meet both current andfuture business requirements.
Guide system and application architects on data-related solution design anddata integration best practices.
Data Governance:
Establish and lead enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, andstandards.
Define data ownership and stewardship roles; manage processes for data quality,metadata management, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries, glossaries, andother documentation.
Data Integration & Management:
Drive the design of reliable data integration processes, including ETL/ELTpipelines and enterprise service buses.
Identify opportunities to optimize data flows, reduce data redundancy, andimprove real-time availability of trusted data.
Technology Leadership:
Evaluate emerging data technologies, tools, and platforms for potentialadoption (e.g., cloud-based data warehousing, data lakes, master datamanagement, advanced analytics, etc.).
Work closely with IT and Security teams to ensure robust data securitycontrols, including access management, encryption, DLP, and compliance withdata privacy regulations.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamlessintegration of data solutions and initiatives.
Provide strategic guidance to development teams and communicate architecturaldecisions, standards, and guidelines clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership
Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the organizationstays on the cutting edge of enterprise data management.
Mentor junior architects and data professionals; foster a culture of knowledgesharing and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or arelated field.
8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture roles with a strongemphasis on Data Architecture and governance.
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and data integrationstrategies.
Hands-on expertise with industry-leading data governance and data managementtools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Talend, IBM InfoSphere, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern datatechnologies (data lake, data warehouse, streaming, NoSQL).
Strong understanding of security, privacy, and regulatory standards such asGDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or SOX.
Soft Skills & Leadership:
Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complexdata concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven leadership in driving enterprise-wide data initiatives and influencingorganizational change.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate across diverseteams.
Certifications (Preferred)
TOGAF, Zachman, or other recognized Enterprise Architecture certifications.
Data management or governance certifications (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
Cloud architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect,Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
