Quality Control Technician

Job Description

At JW Hicks, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add a Quality Technician. We have a passion to produce the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Quality Technician Responsibilities

Perform laboratory tests to acquire product and material data for analysis

Provide accept/reject qualifications based on test results

Maintain records of all testing procedures and results

Participate in Quality Audits

Assist with RCA & Corrective Action identification/implementation

Identify and pursue Quality Improvement projects/activities

Analyze Quality data for process control

Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Requirements:

Ability to apply statistical methods and SPC

Ability to use computer software to analyze data (Excel or Minitab)

Mathematical aptitude and organization

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment

Desirable Skills/Training

Quality Technician Certification

Experience operating lab equipment

ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor certification

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

2-3 years' experience with quality control systems
