Job Summary

This role provides critical leadership and technical expertise throughout the construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to project close-out. The position involves scheduling, workforce management, jobsite safety, and supporting project execution across multiple geographic regions. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, communication, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Offer technical guidance throughout the pre-construction phase.

Participate in constructability reviews and assist in creating pre-construction schedules.

Provide input during the pre-bid process.

Oversee and schedule field technicians across multiple locations.

Ensure compliance with union agreements regarding workforce changes.

Maintain daily oversight of timecard reporting and follow up on discrepancies.

Enforce proper use and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.

Coordinate with Project Managers on staffing, scheduling, budgets, and material staging.

Conduct regular jobsite visits

Stay informed on full project scopes and communicate work order changes.

Ensure safety requirements are clearly communicated and enforced at each jobsite.

Promote a zero-injury culture and support site safety meetings.

Conduct safety briefings and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.

Identify and correct safety hazards; report incidents promptly.

Review drawings and specifications for constructability and schedule alignment.

Understand and manage project scope, specifications, and budgets.

Provide feedback on takeoffs and estimates.

Mentor and train field staff and technician leads.

Oversee post-project activities, including testing, documentation, and “as-built” records.

Ensure proper filing and completion of test results and close-out documentation.

Lead field team performance reviews and manage career progression documentation.

Help develop schedules, determine activity durations, and forecast workforce needs.

Identify new project opportunities.

Maintain clear communication with all field personnel on construction goals and expectations.

Foster positive relationships with clients and internal project teams.

Collaborate on development and implementation of training programs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar supervisory or technical role.

OSHA 30 certification required.

Must meet all MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) requirements.

Must be eligible to access client job sites (badging and security clearance).

Proficient with construction management software and Microsoft Office.

Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

Strong ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.

Solid knowledge of construction safety standards and legal compliance.

Effective communication and leadership skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage teams, time, and pressure efficiently.

Ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Willingness to travel extensively to project sites as needed.

Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Self-motivated with goal-setting and follow-through capabilities.
