Locatelli's is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team! The Assistant Manager is responsible for helping the owners achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.

Responsibilities

General:

Ensures 100% Guest Satisfaction

Quality Control:

Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.

Guest Services:

Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.

Have constant contact with guests by “touching” each and every table.

Financial:

Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures

Minimize Labor Cost by cutting unnecessary staff when applicable

Maintain the lowest food cost possible by enforcing proper food rotation and constantly monitoring and enforcing proper portion control practices

Community:

Be an integral part of our ongoing out reach to the community, by actively marketing the restaurant to area businesses, schools, churches, and other organizations

Secure the sponsorship of one athletic youth area sports team per quarter

Administrative:

Assist the GM as required to ensure that all applicable invoices, and all new employee information is scanned and saved.

Food Safety:

Verifies appropriate food safety, food handling and food storage procedures are followed (must be Food Manager certified)

Operational:

Understand completely, and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs

Provides leadership and direction to all team members to ensure efficient operation

Perform the opening Line Check

Perform the nightly Commissary Order

Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards

Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health and safety standards and alcohol regulations are obeyed

Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.

Fill in as required to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

Ensure that all sidework/closing procedures are followed, and that the facility is properly cleaned, stocked, and ready for the next shift.

Other Requirements

1. Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

2. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and POS

3. Outstanding leadership and communication skills

4. Flexibility

5. Must be able to create fun in a fast-paced and stressful environment

6. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness

7. Keeps GM/Owner promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, staff issues, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action

8. Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 50 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion

9. Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operate phones, computers, and other office equipmentCompany Description
