Job Description
The Sr. Pricing Analyst will partner with the Bid and Proposal team providing finance input to new business proposals and leading an improvement in the effectiveness of key processes to drive new business opportunities. Own CAPA package development, ensuring compliance with Government accounting standards and managing relationships with Government auditors. Provide analysis to support and monitor pricing targets. Will be required to travel to the Tampa office once a month.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other functions to develop the estimates for all cost elements associated with proposed contracts
Utilize Pro Pricer to update all cost elements associated with proposed contracts
Identify & drive improvements in the proposal model and proposal processes
Apply business acumen to create winning solutions while protecting the bottom line
Examine and interrogate bids from a cross-functional perspective, working closely with the team to ensure alignment in the proposal package
Provide review & challenge to all aspects of bid – responsible for finance functional approval on all bids
Provide estimating support for the development of the Basis of Estimates to include validating and analysing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions and confirming estimating approach is sound
Manage the CAPA package development & provide support for negotiations – provide approval for CAPA/TINA requirements
Work with Government auditors (DCAA & DCMA) to support audit reviews and establish forward pricing rate agreements where relevant
Support the execution of the pricing strategy, with analysis to evaluate pricing opportunities to drive opportunities to further enhance our pricing benefit and provide effective review to set & report against targets
Performs other related duties as assigned
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Pro Pricer is required
Proficient knowledge of Excel (i.e. basic formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.)
Knowledge of federal proposal regulations including but not limited to: FAR, DFAR, TINA
Experience in and responsibility for framing issues, devising appropriate analysis, and developing recommendations and plans
Superior analytical, interpretation, and problem-solving skills
Strong financial/accounting skills
Ability to interact with engineering, operations, and executive-level management.
Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and organize workload efficiently.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing aerospace/defense industry environment
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent required
