CNC Machinist

Job Description

My Client, who is located Pinellas County, FL, has an immediate need for a CNC Machinist. The CNC Machinist will operate CNC machines and utilize programming to produce tools & parts to dimensional requirements. The ideal candidate will possess several years of CNC operating experience, have exposure to CNC programming, and attributes of a self-starter as this individual will at times work under indirect supervision.

Job Accountabilities:

Operate 3-axis CNC machines

Run CNC machines and programs to produce tools & parts to dimensional/tolerance requirements

Operate manual machines including drill presses, mills, lathes

Operate other shop machinery including saws, benders

Perform preventative maintenance to equipment

Follow Standard Industrial practices for working with composites & other materials.

Other responsibilities as assigned

Skills:

Previous CNC programming experience required

Experience using Fusion 360 for CNC Programming, preferred

Metal Fabrication shop experience required

Understanding of material properties & characteristics

Working knowledge of various measuring gages: micrometers, pin gages, dial indicator, screw pitch gage, height gage, and comparator stand/gage

Computer Knowledge

Job Specifications:

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education, and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years Experience: 2-3+ years of relevant work experience
