Director, Learning & Development (Hybrid) – Edison, NJ - $192k - $200k

The overall purpose of this position is to provide oversight for the Learning & Development team for this global organization!

Responsibilities include:

Ø Develops the annual strategic plan and implements same for L&D

Ø Oversees and participates in the design, development and delivery of staff training programs with Learning & Development team. Delivers a broad range of programs globally.

Ø Develops and oversees testing and evaluation standards for company owned courses

Ø Ensures external vendor courses are properly evaluated.

Ø Evaluates training effectiveness

Ø Assesses and communicates ROI on training programs.

Ø Researches training materials and vendors

Ø Negotiates purchase of training programs, materials, and services.

Ø Created cost analysis to maximize quality training for minimum cost per student.

Ø Must be able to analyze various data, draw conclusions, identify trends and report results to senior management.

Ø Oversees evaluation, implementation, testing and maintenance of the Learning Management system and other systems used to support the function.

Ø Leads processes for assessment and solution development for individual, group or organizational programs through observation, request, research and data review, etc.

Ø Designs and implements the bi-annual engagement or employee experience survey. Generate and analyze reports.

Ø Recommends strategy for individual, leadership, group and organizational performance management and talent development.

Ø Develops and manages the L&D Budget, monitors expenditures throughout the year.

Ø Designs, manages and oversees the multi-partner onboarding program with a blended learning solution including: Instruction Led training, eLearning and webinars.

Requirements include:

Ø Degree in HR or equivalent experience

Ø 7+ years’ experience professional or managerial level business experience in Learning & Development and staff management experience

Ø Required: 360 Assessment, DISC, Manager Coaching experience. Must be a Certified Designer and Developer. Must have experience developing and driving an L&D strategy

Ø Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ø Able to present to groups ranging in size from 5 - 100+ people; This position will also regularly facilitate small and large group training classes (primarily soft skills courses).

Ø Ability to provide coaching and constructive feedback is also essential, both in the classroom and in one-on-one situations

Ø Negotiating skills are needed in working with vendors for purchasing of training

Ø Must have a high level of professionalism and political savvy when interacting with senior leadership concerning strategic matters/business objectives

Ø Conceptual knowledge of database systems; Advanced level proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Experience in Visio and MS project would also be helpful

Ø Operational experience with HRIS and LMS is required

Ø Knowledge of adult learning theory concepts and principles is necessary

Ø Required: 360 Assessment, DISC, Manager Coaching experience. Must be a Certified Designer and Developer.

Ø Training certifications (Coaching, Change Management, CCL, CPLP, EQ) are a plus
