Job Summary
The Director, GPDO Processes will lead the design, governance, and continuous improvement of all product development processes outside the scope of New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI). This includes ownership of the PLM, Special Feature Addition (SFA), Phase Out, and Lessons Learned processes, with the flexibility to integrate additional processes as business needs evolve. This role will also serve as a strategic leader for enterprise-wide initiatives such as “Design Once, Build Anywhere” and “Customize at Scale,” ensuring alignment across functions and geographies.
Responsibilities:
(40%) Own and continuously improve the processes owned by this team including but not limited to (PLM, SFA, Phase Out, Lessons Learned). Includes defining processes, SOPs, and KPI’s.
(30%) Strategic Initiative Leadership: Play an integral role in achieving “Design Once, Build Anywhere” as well as fully leveraging our potential for “Customize at Scale”
(20%) Build and lead a high performance team and culture with a passion for continuous improvement
(10%) Establish robust KPI’s that provide the right insights into process performance and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s strongly preferred).
Certifications in Design for Six Sigma, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies are a plus.
10+ years in engineering product development leadership in complex global engineering organizations
Proven deep understanding of Oracle PD Cloud, ERP systems and Product Development Process
Teamcenter experience a plus
Deep understanding of broad set of engineering tools, systems, and processes across engineering disciplines
Proven experience / expertise interacting with C-Suite leadership
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to process improvement.
Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Ability to travel internationally and interface with global engineering teams.
Time Travel Needed: 10% travel anticipated
