Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach

Sparta High School invites candidates to apply for the position of Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach for the 25-26 school year. Ideal candidates must have successful coaching experience–preferably at the varsity level–with a proven ability to teach basketball techniques and strategies to student-athletes at all levels of development. The Varsity Boys Basketball Coach supports and provides assistance in the direction for the 7-12 boys basketball program under the direct supervision of the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Successful varsity level coaching experience preferred;

Head coaching experience preferred;

Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred;

Knowledge of basketball strategies and techniques;

Ability to work with other coaches and staff in a collaborative way;

Well organized. Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing;

Builds great relationships with student-athletes;

Off season work may be requested.

Must attend all scheduled games and practices.
