Pay: $24.00-$35.00+/hr, depending on experience and position
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Full-time)

We are seeking two full-time positions for our client, a leading manufacturer with a large multi-building campus located in Biddeford, Maine:
A Machinist to support precision fabrication and repairs
A Material Handler to manage shipping, receiving, and internal material movement

Position 1: Machinist
The Machinist will service all machining requirements, including but not limited to Carbon/Carbon (C/C) products, test specimens, manufacturing tooling, and equipment components. Success in this role means producing high-quality parts while supporting safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
Repairing and fabricating metal parts using manual machining equipment
Reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches
Assembling parts and sub-units with tight tolerances
Setting up and operating vertical mills, lathes, surface grinders, and band saws
Measuring parts with precision instruments and optical comparators
Documenting production and inspection results
Participating in Lean and continuous improvement projects
Maintaining a safe and organized workspace
Ideal Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
0-2 years of machining or manufacturing experience
Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T
Ability to read engineering drawings and apply geometric dimensioning
Physical ability to lift, stand, and operate equipment throughout the shift
Position 2: Material Handler
The Material Handler will support operations through efficient material deliveries, interfacility transportation, shipping/receiving, and Hazmat movement. Success in this role means ensuring that materials flow accurately and on time across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
Loading and unloading trucks using a forklift or pallet jack
Verifying shipping labels, packing slips, and Certificates of Conformance
Transporting materials across departments and buildings
Supporting shipping/receiving operations and inventory control
Maintaining organized storage areas and clean workspaces
Engaging with vendors, drivers, and team members professionally
Assisting with cycle counts and basic warehouse carpentry tasks
Ideal Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (2-year degree or relevant experience preferred)
1+ years of forklift experience (5+ years preferred)
Hazmat certification or willingness to obtain
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (CDL eligibility a plus)
Knowledge of supply chain workflows, including purchase orders and travelers
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Physical ability to lift materials and remain active during the day
