Senior Engineering Technician – Structural (Revit/Bluebeam)

Location: Raleigh, NC

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Contract: 6-Month Contract with strong potential for conversion

Pay Rate: $37.41/hour

We are actively hiring a Senior Engineering Technician with strong structural experience and advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam. This role will support highly specialized nuclear projects, providing design expertise and technical leadership as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply advanced engineering principles and established design practices to develop complex structural design concepts and deliverables.

Modify or create technical drawings and design packages using Revit and Bluebeam.

Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and direction to other engineering professionals as needed.

Perform detailed design calculations, material quantity estimates, and design records.

Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality in all deliverables, following company standards, codes, and procedures.

Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to exchange project information and ensure design alignment.

Support field activities as required and communicate project design progress with stakeholders.

Assist with knowledge sharing, process improvements, and standards development within the team.

Qualifications:

US Citizenship required

Strong hands-on experience using Revit and Bluebeam in a design capacity.

Structural design experience is required; nuclear industry experience is a strong plus.

A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in engineering design or drafting.

Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Drafting, Engineering Design Technology, or a related field preferred.

Strong problem-solving, time management, and mentoring skills.

Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, document control processes, design principles, and quality programs.

Preferred Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CADD, 3D modeling, design software, and document storage systems.

Working knowledge of construction practices, contract administration, project controls, and estimating.

Ability to review and interpret engineering deliverables across multiple disciplines.

Experience supporting complex, regulated projects with high quality and compliance standards.

Additional Information:

Start date: ASAP

Contract duration: 6 months, with conversion potential for the right candidate.

Drug screen, background check, and MVR search required prior to hire.

Must reside within commuting distance of one of the listed locations.
