About The Department: The Surgical Services Department at Montrose Regional Health is committed to providing quality surgical services and improve the quality of life for our patients.
We provide surgical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
About The Career: Functions as an instrument technician, coordinating and assembling appropriate instrumentation for each individual case, passing instrumentation, appropriate medications, and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
Follows the established plan of care and provides direct surgical care interventions within the scope of practice.
Works under the supervision of the OR Clinical Coordinator, Director of Surgical Services and/or RN (Circulator). Collaborates with unit/hospital staff and other health professionals.
All About You: Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be a graduate of an approved Surgical Technician program.
Training & Experience: BCLS Certification.
Must have had experience in OB, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Dental, and Urology cases.
Job Knowledge: Knowledge of surgical instrumentation - use, care, and cleaning.
Ability to manage instruments in the variety of cases listed above.

Position will be classified as a 1.0 full-time FTE and will accrue PTO and EIB benefits and be eligible to participate in other benefits available to full-time employees such as health benefits and 401k retirement benefits.
The position will be scheduled to be On-Call for the Surgical Services team nightly on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m.
to 7:00 a.m.
Caregiver will be available and is required to respond to the hospital within 30 minutes when called during this time and will follow the Surgical Services Department On-Call Policy and Procedure.
The position shall receive the guaranteed salary for any workweek during which services are performed.
No deductions shall be made from the salary for working less than 40 hours in a workweek (except as noted: the guaranteed salary will only be subject to deductions required by law or permitted under the FLSA, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and other State or Federal laws that permit such deductions, for the fluctuating workweek method of compensation), but hours of absence may be deducted from accrued PTO, EIB or other paid leave benefits, as appropriate.
