BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as an on-site engineering lead at the F-35 Reprogramming Labs at Eglin AFB, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The qualified candidate will lead on-site technical support, Hardware/Software debug, software integration, general product support.

The primary responsibility of this full-time role will be to lead and facilitate consistent and effective product delivery and Hardware/Software support of critical Electronic Warfare systems to include F-35 Mission Data File Generation (MDFG). The F-35 Engineer will support daily operations of the reprogramming labs and provide key Subject Matter Expert support for technical/contractual requirements development, MDFG and system checks within the labs. This role will also troubleshoot on-site issues, provide engineering feedback, support/recommend product and systems improvements, support Root Cause Corrective Analysis, and provide status updates to the New Hampshire Program Team

The Lead Engineer must display strong interpersonal communication skills, work as a member of a dedicated team, build technical relationships within the F35 community to include government customers, co-contractors and BAE Systems New Hampshire Program and Leadership Team. The successful candidate is expected to represent the company in a professional manner and possess a strong ability to articulate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.

This position may require system level training in New Hampshire for up to 6 months prior to beginning the role of lead engineer at Eglin AFB, FL.

Additional responsibilities include:

+ Extensive outside contact with customers, other contractors and government officials.

+ Technical interface to Customer, PMO and executive leadership

+ Understanding requirements, missions, use cases, and constraints

+ Management of technical risks and issues including impact assessment, mitigation, minimization and closure plans

+ Support to customers of BAE Systems providing technical coordination between Technical Interchange Meetings, Training Events and Integration Efforts.

+ Preparing and delivering technical presentations.

+ Frequent travel to support the needs of the program

+ Technical planning, system integration, verification and validation

+ Evaluating alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and analyses for total systems

+ Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

+ Translating customer requirements into hardware/software specifications.

+ Perform engineering tasks associated with EW mission planning support requirements.

A qualified individual will closely interface with the customer, system operators, EW System Engineers and SW Tool Engineers in developing and maintaining MDF and MDFG Toolsets.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Current Active Secret Security Clearance is required.

+ Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience

+ Strong Organizational and or Intermediate Electronic Warfare (EW) Reprogramming experience, MDFG (RF electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and fault isolation abilities, SW installation and troubleshooting, debugging, etc).

+ Experience with debug, software/system integration of new systems

+ Candidates must be available to work extended hours during critical time periods

+ Experience independently providing technical assistance on classified systems with limited to no supervision.

+ Position requires excellent oral and written communications skills; strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

+ Proficiency with various types of test equipment and software packages.

+ Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance.

+ Ability to obtain Special Access Program Clearance.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Current Top Secret Clearance

+ Current/previous SAP access and clearance

+ Strong understanding and use of Systems and Software Engineering processes and procedures

+ Strong understanding and use of F35 Electronic Warfare Systems

+ In-depth knowledge in Air Force maintenance methodologies that support war-fighter operations.

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
