**Job Title: Automation Technician**
**Job Description**
The Automation Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment. This position demands strong skills in Automation, Electrical, and Instrumentation, including proficiency in Rockwell engineering tools, electrical circuit diagnostics, instrumentation, networking, and computer hardware.
**Responsibilities**
+ Participate in and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure, including failure analysis, problem-solving, and prevention.
+ Collaborate with the production team to make rapid, educated decisions regarding system issues.
+ Troubleshoot systems and resolve issues by conducting investigations, analyses, tests, and follow-ups.
+ Test and upgrade all production equipment.
+ Install and test new food manufacturing, packaging, and processing equipment.
+ Interface with machine tools and special equipment or test modules.
+ Troubleshoot existing equipment for electrical or electronics failures and modify machines to improve or update them.
+ Maintain and calibrate site instrumentation.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.
+ Strong Automation and Troubleshooting skills.
+ Electrical maintenance capabilities.
+ Experience in repair and preventive maintenance.
+ Knowledge of Rockwell engineering tools.
+ Understanding of 3-phase systems.
+ Industrial experience.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Robotics and conveyor systems knowledge.
+ Possession of a journeyman card.
+ Pneumatics expertise.
+ Automation systems knowledge.
+ Hydraulics skills.
+ HMI programming proficiency.
+ PLC programming experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
+ Expertise in Electrical, Mechanical, and PLC systems.
+ Instrumentation and calibration skills.
+ Journeyman Card (preferred but not required).
+ Previous union experience (Steel Workers Union).
+ Experience in food-grade environments.
+ Wastewater treatment experience.

**Work Environment**
This position involves working in a food environment where juice boxes, pouches, bottles, and various cartons used for happy meals are bottled. The role is open on D Shift, which includes working half of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a $1.5 shift premium.

This is a Permanent position based out of PAW PAW, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
