Position Summary:

Develop and leads the direction of daily activities for the division's materials, planning, and supplier management with heavy focus on people, organization, process, risk management and information technology. This includes the S&OP Process to support adequate inventories of our branches, light manufacturing and assembly, project management, maximizing margin, and ensuring timely logistical processing of product. Responsible for embracing and driving lean & best practices throughout the division supply chain.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:

Position will Report directly to the VP of the Corrosion Resistant Group with additional accountability to the group's four brand leaders. Will manage the complete material control process including procurement, production/inventory control, and transportation logistics. Will interact with all levels of division management including Operations, Sales, Quality Control, Marketing and Finance. Will coordinate best practices with other division supply chain managers at the Flow Control Group. Key supplier management is essential to include ad hoc key Customer relationships. Eight direct reports will include regional procurement manager, analyst, & 6 buyers. Total Team of 13 to include regional logistics coordinators and fabrication planners.

Essential Functions:

Manages the materials function within the division considering light manufacturing capacity, schedules workloads, recommends in house manufacturing vs. outsourcing, quality control and workforce balance.

Establishes and maintains premier customer service with a customer centric mindset

Leads all Supply Chain Management activities within the division. This will include establishing preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, compliance with governmental procurement regulations and group programs.

Will establish and implement standard/automated re-order procedures.

Will develop crisis management and supplier backup contingency programs.

Negotiate long term contracts in coordination with group staff and policies, while managing to the contracts and leveraging volume purchases and rebates.

Responsible for continuous improvement programs with suppliers.

Responsible for managing the division operational inventory to ensure adequate stocking levels for immediate production items and forecasting for future requirements. Will establish and implement standard/automated delivery procedures for just in time supplier stocking items.

Responsible for facilitation and execution of the S&OP Process across the Division.

Accountable for managing the division's overall strategic production planning practices taking into consideration short term/long term production requirements and integrating materials availability.

Will establish and implement procedures for special order request, engineering changes and part substitutions, and sales market demand for products.

Responsible for integrating the division with appropriate IT infrastructure and systems processes throughout the supply chain in coordination with IT Mgr.

Manage the division's transportation logistics to ensure distribution of products direct to customers, or through distribution centers / warehouses are completed with optimum service at the most efficient cost.

Represents the supply chain at the division level for the Corrosion Resistant Group

Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment, critical focus and effective key performance management. Qualifications:

5-7 year's managerial experience in supply chain management

Background in Industrial Fluid Control Solutions and Applications, plastic and steel piping, fittings, valves, instrumentation, tanks, & tubing catering to a diverse set of customers and industries to include water, sanitary, general industrial, life sciences, electronics, food processing, chemical, HVAC and Infrastructure

4-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management required with certification in supply chain management preferred

Experience in distribution supply chain and light manufacturing

Experience in driving change management thru consolidation efforts and gains followership from regional Teams into a centralized strategic supply chain

Possesses analytical, financial and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.

Must have advanced computer skills and be able to understand electronic data processing. Systems (IT) experience beneficial.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal, communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.

Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprise principles and practices. Practical experience in implementing lean technologies and practices.

Work in a fast-paced environment and navigates ambiguity with data and critical thinking

Excellent problem-solving skills.
