SROSM is looking for a full-time Patient Accounts Receivable Representative to join our top notch team of professionals!
This position would either be located at our Spring Office or Montgomery Office OR remote.
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, working a half Saturday every 8-10 weeks.
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient accounts, insurance billing processes, and customer service principles. Experience working with Athenahealth (Athena) is highly preferred, and the ability to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) is essential.
Job Duties:
Review and manage patient balances and account activity.
Follow up on outstanding patient accounts receivable (AR) via phone, email, and statements.
Respond to patient billing inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
Interpret EOBs to identify payment discrepancies and necessary adjustments.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve account issues in a timely manner.
Assist in setting up payment plans and ensure compliance with policy.
Document all communication and activity within the patient’s account accurately and thoroughly.Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in patient AR, billing, or collections in a medical practice or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of EOBs and insurance claim processes.
Athenahealth system experience strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven customer service skills and a calm, solution-focused demeanor.
High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
