Role overview & responsibilities

Reporting to the Director or Regional Manager, the Site Manager is responsible for managing and leading the daily operations and administrative functions in their assigned facility. They make recommendations to improve the productivity, quality, and safety to ensure an efficient delivery of products and service for customers. They formulate, recommend, and ensure compliance of all company policies, procedures, and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the company.

Oversee the organization and management of warehouse storage space.

Train and develop on-site management in the assigned facilities to ensure specific site goals are obtained.

Develop and implement storage strategies that maximize space and improve inventory flow.

Ensure proper storage methods are in place, such as proper stacking, labeling, and storage conditions.

Supervise a team of warehouse staff and provide training on storage practices.

Ensure standards of production, quality, safety, and equipment are maintained through a cost-effective process to ensure maximum productivity.

Troubleshoot, investigate, and make recommendations to implement solutions to problems related to any area of the facility.

Partner with Regional Managers or Division Operations Vice President in establishing operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete on-time delivery.

Work closely with customers, both external and internal, to ensure relationships are established and maintained at the highest level.

Provide leadership and guidance to facilitate action plans in a timely and proactive manner.

Analyze and communicate financial, operational, and administrative problems or concerns and work to bring resolve in a prompt professional manner.

Conduct regular audits of inventory and storage systems to ensure accuracy.

Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth movement of goods.

Prepare reports on storage conditions, inventory, and operational efficiency.

Implement and maintain an inventory management system for tracking goods.

Handle product returns and ensure damaged goods are managed appropriately.

Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse at all times.

What you'll need

2+ years of experience in operations management.

Inventory management

Shipping & receiving

Valid driver's license.

Bachelor's degree (4-year college or technical school), preferred.
