Job Title: Operations & Production Planning Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Operations & Production Planning Analyst to optimize production workflows, enhance data-driven decision-making, and support financial and ERP system incorporation. This role requires expertise in data analytics, production planning, inventory management, and ERP systems, preferably Made2Manage (M2M, to improve efficiency and streamline processes. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, process-focused and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate costing, maintain clean data integrity, and drive operational improvements through data insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize data analytics to optimize job order planning and balance production, preventing over- or-under production.

Improve inventory turnover by avoiding overproduction and minimizing shortages.

Support on-time delivery performance by analyzing production bottlenecks and recommending corrective actions.

Develop and train teams on M2M reporting tools to enhance production planning and operational visibility.

Use data validation techniques to assist accounting teams within the ERP order costing and financial accuracy.

Analyze costing discrepancies, ensuring financial alignment and operational transparency.

Review job order costing data, ensuring accurate material and labor cost allocation.

Flag anomalies and discrepancies in production costs, working with key stakeholders to adjust where necessary.

Facilitate data-driven decision-making by generating reports on job performance and cost variances.

Review BOMs and routings to ensure accurate materials and labor costing.

Maintain clean and accurate data within the ERP system to improve forecasting and operational efficiency.

Analyze operational trends to identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and production output.

Identify patterns or root causes behind inefficiencies and develop data-backed solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, or operations support role.

Strong experience with ERP systems (M2M preferred); comfortable navigating job order, BOM, routing, and costing modules.

Proficient in data analysis (Excel, SQL, or Power BI) and using data to drive decision-making.

Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience in identifying and implementing automation opportunities within manufacturing workflows.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across departments and influence process changes.

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

$85K-$120K
