Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for preparing machines for shift start-up and product changeovers. You will operate auxiliary equipment to manufacture various products, ensuring that quality standards and production goals are consistently met. Additionally, troubleshooting equipment issues will be part of your role.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate proficiency in all Operator 1 & 2 job requirements.
Monitor and perform operations of processing equipment with minimal supervision.
Assist higher-level operators as needed.
Use measuring equipment to ensure all quality specifications are met.
Aid in training lower-level operators.
Operate material handling and processing equipment for production and replenishment of raw materials.
Update CIP boards using shop floor management systems.
Identify malfunctions in equipment controls and assist with repairs.
Communicate with technicians for equipment assistance and root cause analysis.
Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
Check workstations for low supplies and transport materials using material handling equipment.
Identify and communicate raw material requirements based on bill of materials.
Test and inspect products to ensure quality specifications are met.
Report non-conforming products and perform necessary procedures.
Input accurate data into the quality control system.
Work different shifts as needed and wear PPE for designated work areas.
Comply with safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
Keep the work area clean and organized.Essential Skills
Knowledge of basic reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Good manual dexterity skills for working with small parts.
Ability to perform repetitive functions.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to interpret work orders, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.
Commitment to high-quality standards and superior service.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
6-12 months of related experience.
Manufacturing experience and mechanical aptitude.
Experience in mechanical assembly and repetitive motions.

This is a Contract position based out of Mcpherson, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $22.00/hr.
