Job Description

The Implementation and Project Supervisor role will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of sterile processing departments and projects during the implementation of new accounts. Additionally, this role will assist with implementing new accounts and supervise the start-up of these accounts as needed.

Project “Management” Responsibilities:

Lead and manage projects related to sterile processing, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory standards.

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets and monitor progress against established milestones.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including surgical services, infection control, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project outcomes.

Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.

Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Analyze project performance data and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize operations.

Train and mentor team members on project management best practices and sterile processing protocols.

Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sterile processing and project management.

Implementation “Supervision” Responsibilities:

Outlines and executes a project plan for successful implementation of new accounts.

Functions as a key leader in the organization, ensuring decisions and actions drive the company’s growth and service quality improvement objectives.

Leads the company’s safety and service quality improvement efforts consistent with internal and relevant external standards (e.g., JCAHO, CMS, etc.).

Creates, implements, and shares operating processes which drive efficiency and operational performance.

Develops and monitors Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) related to per account and overall company operating performance.

Builds and maintains strong relationships with hospital administration, surgeons and other OR staff.

Communicates regularly with senior leadership during new account implementation to identify opportunities and challenges within the new account.

Inventories existing equipment and instruments within new accounts; documents new requests to share with Account Services and Purchasing.

Educates hospital teams on Surgical Solutions’ services, as appropriate.

Supervises and manages Implementation Technician’s performance; assesses and investigates personnel problems; assists in administering performance counseling and coaching when deemed appropriate. Assist with the supervision as needed for the Implementation team’s travel and reimbursement expenses.

Supports recruiting and interviewing efforts for the new account’s permanent team.

Helps onboard new Technicians, orienting them to relevant hospital protocols and procedures. Provides on-the-job training for new hires and re-training for any current staff members.

Identifies potential talent for management positions at new accounts and provides leadership training to those identified.

Supports operational needs at all current hospital accounts.

Provides timely and accurate reporting as required by the hospital account.

Properly oversees the schedule of team members during the implementation process.

Communication liaison between implementation teams and internal corporate departments.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience working in sterile processing and high-level disinfection

1+ year of experience training and/or educating staff

Prior experience creating and/or developing quality imporvement systems and processes

Current CRCST certification required (or CBSPD)

Outstanding customer service skills, building and maintaining a strong rapport with hosptial teams

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Possess excellent leadership skills

Ability to anticipate needs quickly and accurately and appropriately respond

Experience with Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Word, and Excel

Availability to travel for 24/7 hospital coverage, including weekday, weekend, and holiday rotational scheduled and on-call shifts as needed

Ability to travel 75-80%
