Surge Staffing is looking for an Ordering & Purchasing Support Specialist to join our team! This individual will be responsible for arranging incoming deliveries to any of the branches safely and efficiently.
This is a full-time (Monday - Friday) On-Site position that is located at our headquarters office in Columbus, OH.

Receive requests from branches, obtain pricing, and communicate with leaders, following all company approval processes
Track all expenditures and approvals
Communicate with the Accounting department about all purchases
Assist the Purchasing Manager on processes and documentation of all expenditures
Communicate efficiently with branches on all information regarding purchases e.g. pick up times, locations, delivery dates
Responsible for being in contact with the Purchasing Manager regarding office supplies for branches and headquarters. Updating databases and providing training and log in information as needed
Offload delivery trucks if needed and transport merchandise to storage
Arrange incoming deliveries in designated storage areas
Read and decipher purchase orders and webstore orders
Locate and extract merchandise from shelves and storage areas
Confirm merchandise information matches that of the order
Inspect merchandise for damage, flaws, and irregularities
Pack the merchandise for delivery
Finalize orders and update database
Adhere to state health and safety practices
Communicate with Purchasing Specialist for ordering
Help with getting quotes for branch needs
