Purpose & Scope:

Our company is in search of a Plant Controller responsible for financial functions and personnel at the Greeley, CO Case Ready Plant.

Principle Responsibilities:

Accountable for all financial aspects of the plant.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining a control environment. Perform analysis to identify risk areas and implement processes and procedures that minimize the risk.

Responsible for providing the organization and its management with the appropriate financial and operating information necessary. This individual and the accounting staff are expected to work with operations and functional departments to ensure appropriate accounting systems, financial planning and reporting are in place.

Compare performance with operating plans and standards. Provide reports and interpret the results of operations to all levels of management. This includes the formulation of accounting policies, the preparation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required.

Establish and implement a sound operational and organizational plan in direct support of the business plan.

Estimate plant profit and loss statements on a daily and weekly basis through accounting staff.

Supervise and motivate team for high performance, supporting the success of plant operations.

Monitor performance of direct reports. Review direct reports and approve performance appraisals initiated by direct reports.

Assure the duties, responsibilities, and authority of each job are clearly defined, effective, and communicated to team members.

Ensure optimum performance of the business. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and effective practices

Qualifications:

Math skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Computer skills; SAP experience is a plus

Through knowledge of Accounting principles and procedures

Thorough knowledge of management accounting including variance analysis and root cause analysis

Requirements:

Education: BS. Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Experience: Minimum 5 years accounting experience

Work Environment:

The work environment may include cold and/or hot temperatures, fast-paced setting, and exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives. Can further include slippery floors and loud noises.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

Base salary range of $92,917.00-$125,438.00K

Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
