POSITION SUMMARY

The Retail Assistant is responsible for assisting the Retail Manager with merchandising support and accounting, invoicing, and inventory duties associated with the retail operations of the POA. Must be able to work independently with the direction and supervision of the Retail Manager.

REQUIREMENTS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides accounting and retail support for the Retail Manager for all merchandising operations at the Bella Vista POA. In addition to other duties as assigned, will have the following primary job responsibilities, but not limited to:

Display, tag, and track merchandise to maximize purchasing appeal.

Ensure merchandising areas are neat, tidy and sufficiently stocked.

Monitor stock levels to facilitate appropriate restocking.

Provide merchandising support to the Golf Operations staff.

Provide customers with information on pricing and features.

Assists in organizing and maintaining inventory of all merchandise at all locations.

Assist with creating retail displays.

Provides sales support and support at product demonstrations and fittings.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Experience in a merchandising support role or in a similar position.

Proficiency in Office software, such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Advanced ability to arrange retail displays, organize merchandise and collaborate with others.

Work requires continual attention to details.

Must exhibit excellence in communication with staff and customers.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Work requires excellent organizational and communication skills with a comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices, merchandising and strong attention to detail.

A valid driver’s license and transportation to travel to multiple retail locations within Bella Vista is required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Specific required movements include the following: trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry, arm’s reach and leg-lifts. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, the air clean, and generally void of pollutants, the lighting and temperature at comfortable office environment levels.
