The Purchasing Administrator is responsible for helping to improve the efficiency and execution of the purchasing function for the ground school. The Purchasing Administrator, under the supervision of the Vice President of Campus Operations, assists with all purchasing and operating activities of the assigned location by following budgets, sourcing and pricing strategies in accordance with company policy and federal, state and local safety requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres procurement policies and procedures achieving excellent customer service while continually improving efficiencies.
With guidance from the Vice President of Campus Operations, manages annual budgets, monthly forecasts, capital expenditures and strategies to reduce operations expenses.
Helps manage overall expenses to achieve budget objectives in areas of responsibility.
Executes procurement functions including order, requisitions, receiving, invoices, payments, and periodic physical inventory performed at the campus.
Resolves any procurement relation discrepancies or issues, internally or externally.
Ensure supplies, equipment and services are purchased at the lowest possible cost while maintaining quality, recommending substitutes where appropriate based on market or weather conditions.
Helps to maintain and ensure procurement compliance with standard curriculum including ingredients and recipes.
Supports a centralized inventory system database including standard requisites, ingredients and recipes.
Assists with maintaining supplier relations.
Coordinates with the Vice President of Campus Operations and Chef Instructors to maintain consistency with curriculum.
Other duties as required or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS
High School Degree or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
ServSafe, NEHA or comparable certification (or in progress)
Experience in food services procurement

Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business equipment. Sitting for long periods of time; up to 8 hours of computer and/or phone work daily. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, frequent reaching, bending and stooping.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Majority of work is performed in a general office and warehouse environment. Some weekend and evening hours are required.

The expected hourly range for this position is between $22.00 and $28.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
