Job Title: Senior Electrical/System Test Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Electrical/System Test Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in embedded hardware testing, including 2-3 years in the medical device or healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit testing, part and assembly-level qualification, and hands-on proficiency with a wide range of test instruments and serial communication protocols. Experience with defect tracking, collaborative engineering, and tools like Jira and AccuRev is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute embedded hardware testing for electrical systems and subassemblies.
Perform part- and assembly-level qualification testing to validate performance and reliability.
Conduct testing of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits using advanced test instruments.
Control and automate test equipment through serial communication interfaces (e.g., RS232, RS485).
Evaluate and characterize low-voltage signal chain components, including analog op-amp circuits.
Review, execute, and update test protocols, procedures, and test scripts as needed.
Track, manage, and resolve hardware issues and defects using Jira, ensuring proper documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans and maintain schedules.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of hands-on experience in electrical and embedded hardware testing for electro-mechanical devices.
2-3 years of experience specifically in medical device testing.
Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design and testing.
Proficient in using and controlling instruments via RS232, RS485, RS422, GPIB, and Ethernet.
Experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, digital multimeters, and analog op-amp testing.
Familiar with low-voltage signal chain testing and debugging.
Skilled in writing, executing, and maintaining test documentation and procedures.
Proficient in defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and version control systems (e.g., AccuRev).
Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple testing activities concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automated test scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW).
Exposure to FDA regulations and/or ISO 13485 quality management systems.
