Compensation: $118,000 – $128,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Travel: Up to 10% About the Role We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Database Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. In this critical role, you will help design, implement, monitor, and optimize database systems that support key mission requirements. Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain database systems across the MDA enterprise network
• Develop and enforce standard database policies, operating procedures, and system documentation
• Implement and fine-tune database monitoring and performance optimization strategies
• Support backup and disaster recovery planning and execution
• Conduct capacity and availability audits to ensure system stability and scalability
• Research new database technologies and introduce them into the application life cycle
• Work closely with application developers, architects, and business owners to define and implement technical solutions
• Assist with database design, data modeling, and schema design
• Support ongoing IT projects and recommend technical solutions to meet business requirements What You Bring Basic Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience in database administration, design, and schema management
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
• Appropriate computing environment certification (e.g., Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Azure, or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Desired Skills:
• Experience with MS SQL Server 2019 or higher
• Familiarity with SQL Server clustering, performance tuning, monitoring, and backup/recovery
• Knowledge of relational database design, architecture, and operations
• Experience supporting databases in cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
