Job Title: Associate Enrollment Advisor

General Summary

Associate Enrollment Advisors advise, educate, consult, and support qualified prospective students in achieving their personal and professional goals through enrollment in higher education programs. Student leads are provided. Performance is monitored based on the quality of outbound and inbound calls, lead contact activity, submitted applications, attitude, working relationships, and communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Guide prospective students through the enrollment process by answering questions, directing them to key information, and clarifying admissions procedures.

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of academic programs and effectively communicate program details to prospective students.

Build rapport and provide personalized guidance to individuals exploring degree opportunities.

Follow up with student inquiries via videoconference, phone, email, and other communication methods.

Provide accurate and essential information regarding admissions requirements and enrollment steps.

Assess applicants to determine their qualifications for various academic programs.

Evaluate academic transcripts to ensure prerequisite completion and update application statuses as new information is received.

Collaborate with admissions staff and other departments to ensure a positive and efficient student experience.

Ensure prospective students are directed to the appropriate resources or departments when necessary.

Support the institution's core values through daily responsibilities and interactions.

Stay informed about developments in higher education through professional development activities.

Participate in ethical and compliant enrollment practices.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FERPA regulations and ensure strict adherence when handling student information.

Represent the institution professionally while working with a diverse community and maintaining attention to detail and policy compliance.

Continuously update knowledge of institutional policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of one year of experience in higher education, sales, customer service, account management, or a related field.

Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to effectively interact with students, colleagues, faculty, and external stakeholders.

Experience working with diverse populations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Comfortable presenting in both live and virtual formats.

Familiarity with student information systems and enrollment technologies.

Valid driver's license and minimum state-required liability insurance.

Ability to travel within the U.S. as necessary.

Work Environment

Primarily office-based with standard working conditions. Daily computer use (6-8 hours) is expected. Physical demands may include walking, standing, and communicating in person or virtually.
