Role Impact:
As a Senior Reliability Engineer at an aseptic extended-shelf-life beverage manufacturer, you will champion the reliability of our equipment, systems, and processes, driving operational excellence and directly shaping the company’s future success.
In this role, the Senior Reliability Engineer partners with cross-functional teams, elevating system reliability by identifying, recommending, and implementing targeted improvements while ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive reliability plan for all production assets.
Define, monitor, and report on reliability metrics (e.g., Mean Time Between Failures, Mean Time to Repair, Overall Equipment Effectiveness) to drive measurable gains.
Proper communication through multiple departments to set expectations on project timelines and line time to implement solutions and/or determine the root cause of failures.
Lead reliability-centered maintenance, failure modes and effects analysis to prioritize maintenance and capital projects.
Design, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs within the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Conduct structured failure investigations (Five-Whys, fault-tree analysis) and verified closure of corrective actions.
Serve as the in-house reliability authority, coaching junior engineers and rolling out best practices.
Leverage CMMS, ERP, and data analytics tools to build actionable dashboards and deliver monthly and quarterly reports.
Vet vendor proposals and enforce compliance with safety, quality, and aseptic-processing standards.
Maintain up-to-date reliability procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
Partner with Process and Controls Engineering to co-define failure modes and align maintenance tasks with critical process parameters, ensure condition-monitoring hardware and control logic capture the right data for predictive insights and alarms and validate control-strategy impacts on product quality and process stability during scale-up or recipe changes
Adhere to all applicable food-safety requirements and standards.

Lead, mentor, and train new process engineers
Education
A bachelor’s degree in process, control, chemical, or mechanical engineering is required.
MBA preferred
Experience & Skills
5 to 7 years of engineering experience in aseptic processing or equivalent in GMP, FDA, ISO, OSHA, USDA or PMO regulated environment.
Low-acid aseptic and ESL manufacturing and packaging experience preferred.
Dairy Manufacturing experience preferred.
Proficient on problem-solving methodologies; root cause analysis, fishbone, 8D.
Proficient on data analysis and loss deployment.
Proficient skills in troubleshooting mechanical, process, and automation-related issues
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to direct others
Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Proficient in reading mechanical and electrical drawings
Proficient in reading P&IDs and understanding process flow
Excellent project management skills and tracking using Microsoft Project
Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures.

Physical Requirements:
