About the role:
The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of a scalable, secure, and integrated technical solution for the client’s Website Modernization Project. This includes the architecture of public/internal websites, CMS platforms, supporting applications, and the Website DataMart.
Location: Remote
Project Duration: 2.5 years, with potential for extension
What you'll do:
Design and implement effective web and database solutions, strategies, and models to store and retrieve data from different client data stores
Monitor and identify appropriate information flows, equipment, tools and systems to achieve all project goals
Design and implement data strategies incorporating different patterns and technologies
Ensure scalability, security, and extensibility across CMS, applications, and data layers
Collaborate with client teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and align technical strategy with business needs
Evaluate and select tools and platforms that align with the DIIT technology stack
Ensure adherence to client security standards and accessibility compliance requirements
Support the development and integration of enterprise-level GIS, search, and multilingual capabilities
What you'll need:
Experience: 8+ years of experience on large scale development and migration projects
Technologies: SQL Server, .NET, Angular, Microsoft Cloud Technologies
Proven experience leading complex CMS or application modernization projects
Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, microservices, and modern DevOps practices
Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), data security, and performance optimization best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Experience working with New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) or other municipal agencies is a plus

A minimum of three (3) out of the past five (5) years of residency in the United States is mandatory.
