OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for controls engineering project requirements involving PLC programming,
As a Controls Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for Hardware, Software, and Field. The ideal Candidate will be tasked with PLC, HMI/ SCADA programming, control panel design, instrumentation specification, check-out support, and commissioning assistance. You will work closely with the clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated control solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
ROLE/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop control system software, including DCS/ PLC programming and implementation, HMI design, and SCADA configuration.
Design, develop, and implement control system logic software and hardware to meet process, machine, and integrated system requirements.
Develop control logic software and user interface applications.
Support hardware engineering (systems integration, instrumentation callout, panel layout, construction)
Develop schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD software.
Technical writing - project definition and requirements, status reporting, process control sequence of operations, RFIs
Support factory/ site acceptance testing, user acceptance testing, and user training
REQUIRED/ HIGHLY PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
BSEE or similar
PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and field instrumentation.
Ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram.
Control system software platforms (e.g., Rockwell/ Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider) and relevant programming environments.
Electrical schematics, Power Distribution, Control panels, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and process control narratives, NEC Code.
Implementing/ testing/ commissioning/ qualifying automation solutions
