Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Provides day-to-day direction, supervision, and coaching to the team to meet site objectives and goals. Monitors progress and directs activities. Responsible for the productivity of personnel in regards to timeliness in diagnosing and completing necessary maintenance and repairs. Ensures a well-functioning preventative maintenance program. Reviews site performance measures and key results and takes appropriate actions. Maintains good labor relations, morale, and discipline in the shop. Initiates corrective actions when required. Ensures personnel follow all GMP and safety policies. Works with accountability groups to accomplish Key Results and 5S strategy.

Responsibilities

Maintains, repairs, adjusts, and operates equipment including all allied electrical and mechanical systems.

Troubleshoots and repairs all related machine problems with competent speed and accuracy.

Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, schematic drawings, and manufacturer’s instructions.

Determines materials and supplies needed to accomplish maintenance and repair.

Instructs other personnel in the proper performance of their duties as required.

Creates schedules, determining which assets or facilities need to be maintained, when, and how often.

Generates work orders, ensuring maintenance technicians have the tools and parts they need to complete work.

Maintains inventory by keeping track of parts and materials.

Creates manuals explaining how to perform certain tasks.

Estimates costs by calculating the cost of labor and parts for industrial equipment.

Adjusts schedules to account for unexpected emergency work.Essential Skills

5-10+ years of experience as a maintenance supervisor.

Proficiency with computers and maintenance systems.

Experience in food and beverage or GMP environment preferred, but candidates from other manufacturing backgrounds will be considered.

Skills in maintenance supervision, maintenance planning, and preventive maintenance.

Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Competency in PLC troubleshooting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
