Job Description
Responds to resident questions concerning payments and arrears, including account statements and the status of legal proceedings.
Addresses tenant arrears issues in coordination with agencies such as HRA, DSS, NYCHA, and HPD.
Assists residents in applying for public or rental assistance programs.
Helps tenants complete applications for back rent assistance, including renewals of HRA vouchers and Section 8 vouchers from HPD and NYCHA.
Maintains communication with residents through phone calls, emails, and face-to-face interactions.
Conducts analysis of receivables, monitors monthly subsidy payments, prepares relevant reports, contact tenants to address missed or delayed payments.
Prepares and provides any required documents needed by tenants to complete assistance applications.
Must be willing/able to be mobile throughout NYC
Must be willing to accompany tenants to city agencies
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be bilingual and able to speak/write in Spanish
