CNC Lathe Operator

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Lathe Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes to produce precision components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with metal machining, blueprint reading, and quality inspection tools.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions

Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and minor adjustments as needed

Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools

Monitor machine operation for accuracy and efficiency

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1-2 years of CNC lathe experience preferred

Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments

Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
