CNC Machinist 2
Full-time / Permanent - Direct Hire
Hourly: $24.00 – $28.00
Day Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:30 AM – 3:10 PM

Responsibilities:
Perform all duties of a CNC Machinist I.
Set up 2- and 3-axis machining jobs on vertical, horizontal, or turning centers.
Modify feeds, speeds, and make basic G-code edits as needed; report changes.
Diagnose and correct machining defects related to dimensions or surface finish.
Recommend process improvements and tooling alternatives.
Design and fabricate simple fixtures (e.g., soft jaws, custom plates).
Evaluate and report on tool wear.
Inspect all features except 3D surfaces.
Provide training and guidance to less experienced machinists.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years machining experience (at least 4 years on CNC equipment).
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficiency in all CNC Machinist I skills.
Capable of setting up, running, and inspecting full 3-axis jobs.
High proficiency with at least one CNC control system: Fanuc, Mazak, or Haas.
Experience working with a variety of materials and hardness levels.
Skilled in using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin/thread gauges).
Strong understanding of GD able to explain all symbols clearly.
Effective verbal and written communication in English, including interpreting technical documentation and shift handoff reports.
Physical Demands:
This role may involve:
Light Work: Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently.
Medium Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.
