Software Engineer II (781018)

Partner with both the business and technical teams to innovate and deliver new features and enhancements. Create or modify complex programs and modules from a detailed design where performance, efficiency, reliability is critical to the entire system and are scalable under sustained load. Work with engineers and other cross-functional teams like Product Management, Project Management, Release Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet Customer needs. Write code that meets specifications, typically for large and highly complex software programs and systems. Anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks before they occur. Apply engineering concepts and principles to the design and development of software solutions. Interact directly with technical experts and practitioners to identify architecture challenges and opportunities and resolve architecture issues related to applications, programs and technology. Ensure that technical solutions follow best practices, are reliable, and are easily maintainable. Actively participate in the definition, design, development, testing and implementation of software functionality using the SAFe Agile methodology. Develop responsive web pages for mobile, tablet and desktop. Write re-usable UI components based on design patterns and workflows. Measure, analyze and improve Core Web Vitals to ensure excellent performance and user experience. Position is fixed location based in Framingham office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Six (6) months of experience in web development.

Must have six (6) months of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- React.js

- Developing new user-facing features using React.js

- Creating reusable UI components using design patterns and workflows

- Building responsive web pages optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices

- Web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Advanced JavaScript

- React, Redux, Webpack, and Node.js

- Implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD) with frameworks including Jest, Jasmine, or Mocha

- Interface with REST APIs or API Gateways

- Utilizing browser APIs and optimize front-end application performance

- Troubleshooting and debugging software interfaces and application code

- Monitoring, analyzing, and enhancing front-end performance to ensure fast, responsive, and efficient user experiences across all devices and browsers

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and improvements

Requires a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a directly related field
