Full Stack Developer: (Hybrid/Contract - Based in Lincoln, NE area )

Optomi, in partnership with a leading national retirement and benefits organization, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support a multi-year modernization initiative. This developer will play a key role in re-architecting a legacy desktop application into a modern, cloud-native Blazor web application hosted in AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and modernize web applications using C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, and SQL Server.

Build and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services that integrate with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and RDS.

Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable cloud-first solutions.

Contribute to AWS cloud adoption using services like SQS, Glue, IAM, and CloudFormation.

Support DevOps workflows utilizing AWS CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, and CI/CD best practices.

Participate in Agile sprints and ensure strong collaboration and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Assist in the replication and deployment of a centralized application framework across 30+ business workflows.

Qualifications:

5-10 years of full-stack development experience using C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.

3+ years of UI development experience using Blazor or similar modern frameworks.

Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, especially Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and Glue.

Proven experience developing and integrating REST APIs in distributed systems.

Exposure to DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployments.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (10/10 expected).

Experience in the retirement, insurance, or health & welfare domains is a strong plus.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
