JOB SUMMARY

Work closely with the President, shop foreman, and others to play a crucial role in the success of the organization. Primary responsibilities include accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, job costing, project analysis, HR, and oversight of office personnel.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Hire and oversee all office personnel including interviewing, training, coordinating cross-training, and procedure manual updates. Office personnel include but are not limited to bookkeeping, purchasing, quoting, customer service, and shipping.

Coordinate and interview shop personnel. Work with foreman in coordinating reviews and performance evaluations.

Implement and maintain sufficient accounting controls to safeguard assets and provide accurate financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Coordinate any audits of financial transactions and work with the CPA firm preparing annual tax returns.

Create annual budgets and projections while tracking the profitability of the organization.

Analyze and evaluate the profitability of orders and maintain job costing standards and accuracy both for labor and materials.

Work with the President and foreman on tracking of shop employee development and wages.

Analyze and oversee company spending related to payroll, benefits, maintenance, materials, perishables, insurance, vehicles, and supplies. Work with Advisor to administer the company’s retirement plan.

Analyze and evaluate the cost feasibility of capital projects and equipment.

Coordinate safety training and documentation ensuring compliance with OSHA and other applicable laws.

Provide financial HR oversight and ensure payroll and benefits are administered appropriately.

Provide financial IT oversight and assist the IT Administrator as required.

Manage and complete other projects as assigned.
