Position Summary:

As a Charge Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will lead and provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in our 12-bed unit. Your role will involve utilizing the nursing process in adherence with professional standards and our organizational values.

Demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Provision of patient care includes medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

Accurately document all patient care provided.

Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, patients, and families.

Assist patients with activities of daily living and advocate for their emotional and physical well-being.

Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless patient care and transition.

Evaluate and address educational needs of patients and their families.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Certifications:

ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS certification within 90 days of hire.

License:

Registered Nurse licensed in Kentucky.
